PALESTINE, Texas (April 11, 2017) – For the second straight year, the City of Palestine’s Community Citywide Yard Sale will be held at the Palestine Mall.
The traditional biannual sale starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Palestine Mall parking lot. The sale ends at 2 p.m., and it is a rain or shine event. The City of Palestine Community Services Department and the Hot Pepper Festival Planning Committee sponsor the event.
Danielle Shultz, Project Manager for the Community Services Department, said the move from the Civic Center to the Palestine Mall has helped vendors and shoppers find each other.
“The Palestine Mall Parking Lot is at one of the largest intersections in town. The foot traffic for the Spring Sale will be unbelievable!” Shultz said. “The Friends of the Library will be hosting a book sale inside the mall. Evans United Carnival will be on one side of the parking lot, and our Citywide Community Yard Sale on the other! Applications are rolling in, and this sale is expected to be the largest attended yet!”
Booth spaces are $25 and will benefit this year’s Hot Pepper Festival set for Saturday, October 21. Sellers wishing to reserve a booth space can contact the Community Services Department at 903-731-8437. The deadline to reserve for the Spring Citywide Community Yard Sale is Thursday, April 27. No late applications will be accepted.
Admission and parking are free, and concessions through Eat a Bite will be available.
