Finance provides fiscal oversight of the city and support services for Accounting, Customer Service, Municipal Court, Purchasing and Warehouse.
The responsibilities of the Finance Department are to develop and implement financial accounting policies and procedures that safeguard the City's assets.
The department facilitates information to management and other departments to measure the financial progress of the city's goals and budget expectations.
The Accounting Department provides financial support and information to management and the departments of the City by providing accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audit preparation, budget, cash management, internal controls, payroll, and financial reporting. Accounting is responsible for preparation of the City's annual operating budget and annual financial statements.
